PSTTAP/TAGS obtains over $138,000 in Byrne Justice Assistance Program funding for five Maryland law enforcement agencies. The Calvert County Sheriff’s Office is receiving $71,573 for its In-Car Camera Acquisition Program (ICCAP). The ICCAP provides for the purchase of in-car cameras that will increase deputies’ safety, enhance deputies’ performance through the development of specialized training opportunities, improve the efficacy of deputies’ testimony for video-recorded incidents, and provide valuable evidence to assist in investigations.

The following agencies have received grant funds for the purchase of E-citation system hardware and software, which will be used to assist officers in completing traffic stops in a more safe and efficient manner while increasing the amount of time they have to spend in the community, provide more accurate and timely information to the courts, and automatically collect data for easy analysis.
